Members of the Wellesley Police Department and fire rescue crew braved icy waters to save a trapped dog in Massachusetts this past weekend.
Emergency dispatchers received a frantic 911-call from the golden retriever's owner. Crosby, just five years old, had fallen into the Charles River, and was trapped by the ice about 50 yards offshore.
Firefighters strapped on their special cold-water-survival suits and dove into the icy water to save her. As seen in the video, she swam to rescuers after realizing they were there to help.
After getting Crosby dry and getting her warm, she was reunited with her owner.
