OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — In Oklahoma, two people have drowned and three women are missing after heavy rain and high winds from a tropical storm moved through the state.

The remnants of Erin flooded homes and roads and knocked out power to thousands of residents.

A rural Fort Cobb woman was discovered drowned in her cellar shortly before noon today after floodwaters inundated her home.

A man in his 50s was discovered drowned after floodwaters knocked his vehicle from Highway 33.

News video showed an Oklahoma Highway Patrol helicopter plucking two people from floodwaters near Kingfisher after their vehicle was swept from a roadway. A woman fell from the helicopter into the water as she was being flown to safety, but authorities say she wasn't seriously injured.
