Paid pollworkers needed for Pasco County elections

Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco County Supervisor of Elections is has announced paid positions at the polls throughout the county in August and November.

The SOE is looking for service-oriented individuals for paid positions at the polls throughout the county for the primary election on August 26, 2014 and the general election November 4, 2014.

Potential candidates should be able to stand, bend, stoop, lift approximately 30 pounds, and have normal vision and manual/physical dexterity. You must be able to read and write the English language, you must have an email address and be able to work the entire day from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m.

"These are paid positions for those who enjoy working with people and doing community service," said Supervisor Corley. "For those who are willing to give their time, civic duty can be an extremely rewarding experience."

All positions receive mandatory paid training the month preceding both the primary and the general elections. Required training depends upon your assignment. Visit or call 800-851-8754 to learn more about the different positions and to access an application.
