Corpse plant blooms in Sarasota

A rare plant known for its horrible scent bloomed over the weekend in Sarasota.

While in bloom, the plant emits a smell that's drawn comparisons to garbage, spoiled meat, and rotting fish.

Its named titan arum, but it is often better known as the "corpse plant."
