PETS OF THE DAY: Annie and Shawnty

If you're a BIG dog fan, it's impossible to meet Annie and not fall in love. Annie is approx 8 yrs old and is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Annie and her sister Shawnty (who is also with us) were scheduled to be euthanized at Polk County's shelter when the Suncoast Animal League stepped in to rescue them. We're not sure how they got there, but if they could talk, we're sure they would have some stories to tell. They were emaciated, shy and had some minor illnesses when they first came to us, but they are healthy and are now ready to find their forever homes. Annie probably weighs 75-80 lbs now and looks young for her age.
