PHOTOS: 'Widespread' winter storm sweeps U.S.

The storm that was and wasn't continues to make its way up the East Coast. Flooding along coastal Virginia on Wednesday evening was its most recent calling card, as Washington-area residents recovered from heavy snow in some areas and a snowless "snow-quester" in others. Air flights remained snarled nationally because of pre-emptive cancellations.
