Pinellas deputies seek man who stole video game

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find a man who stole a video game system from a Palm Harbor store.

Deputies say the man walked into  Aaron's Rent To Own,  30512 U.S. Highway 19 N., about 4 p.m. Aug. 22. 

Detectives say that the suspect spent approximately an hour in the store looking at various merchandise and asking questions of the sales clerk. When the sales clerk turned his back and walked away for a moment, the suspect removed a Sony PlayStation IV from behind the counter and exited the store.

The suspect was a white male with dark short hair and a thin beard. He was wearing a blue undershirt, white or yellow button-up shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. He was driving a red pickup truck.

Anyone with information that may assist detectives in this investigation is asked to contact Detective Taylor of the Burglary and Pawn Unit at (727) 582-6133, or remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS or submit a tip online.
