Urgent warning after Craigslist murder

TAMPA -- The second suspect in Tuesday's homicide of a Holiday man trying to sell his dirt bike over Craigslist is in custody.

Tampa Police Department said that Dontae Johnson, 17, shot James Beck, 44, during an arranged transaction in Tampa.

Police apprehended Johnson late Wednesday night after the arrest of the first suspect, Ramontrae Williams, 16, on Tuesday.

TPD said that Johnson and Williams met up with Beck and his son at N. 18th Street and E. 24th Avenue in Tampa to purchase the dirt bike. During the transaction, TPD said that the teens intended to rob the victims. As James Beck tried to leave the scene, police said that Johnson fatally shot the victim and Williams stole the dirt bike.

Police found the dirt bike at Williams' residence and were able to identify Johnson as the alleged shooter.

Johnson was charged with first-degre felony murder, robbery and discharge of a firearm in public. Williams was charged Tuesday with first-degree felony murder and robbery.
