How are you feeling today after election?

Bay area residents have a variety of emotions about Donald Trump's election.

TAMPA, Fla . -- It’s a fact.

“I don’t know. I don’t think it will be as bad as the Bush years,” says Zack McMackin, who was visiting Ybor City.

Everyone woke up Wednesday morning.

“I’m very happy,” says Rick Matvey, who lives in Pinellas County.

Feeling something.

“I’m pretty upset to be honest,” says Alice Cecil, a member of LGBTQ community.

Of course, this morning.

“We’re doing alright,” says Hassan Shibly, chief executive director of CAIR Florida.

You’re feelings.

“It is troubling that Americans voted for someone who made such comments against women, Muslims, minorities,” says Shibly.

Reflect a decision decided last night.

On our Facebook page, comments varied from, "Cried myself out’ to "I’m so excited."

10News WTSP political expert Lars Hafner says he’s not shocked by the varied feelings.

“That’s exactly right because we see America as a divided nation. (Hillary) Clinton won the popular vote and Trump won the electoral college,” says Hafner.

"The winning side euphoric. The losing side is feeling defeated and that’s the way the nation feels today. They wake up knowing new leadership but with Donald Trump we don’t know what to expect,” says Hafner.

So many people are all feeling differently, but we can all agree with how one person responded, when asked how he was doing, he said: "Today is Wednesday and tomorrow will be Thursday."
