TAMPA —There was massive excitement at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre Monday night. Republican presidential nominee Donald trump whipped up a crowd of more than 10,000 people as he continued his swing through pivotal Florida.
He started with attacks against Hillary Clinton most have heard before.
“Our system is rigged ... she never had a chance of being convicted (a reference to the federal investigation of her for using a personal email server while Secretary of State) ... everybody here knows that she's 100 percent guilty,” Trump said.
He fired similar attacks against the media, saying the election is rigged in Clinton’s favor.
“These people are among the most dishonest people in the world, the media. They're trying to fix the election for crooked Hillary,” Trump said.
His supporters loved it, but with only two weeks remaining before the election and with Trump down in the polls nationally and in the must-win state of Florida, Trump needs to reach out to undecided voters.
He tried to with a positive message.
“We're going to fight for rural America, urban America, suburban America because we are all one America,” he said to raucous applause.
But even as Trump threw doubt on the credibility of election results, he ended his speech by saying this:
“If you haven't voted by Nov. 8, no matter how you feel, no matter how bad things are, get up and vote. We have to vote,”
Hillary Clinton will be in Tampa Wednesday.
