FL League of Cities talks red light cameras and Uber

TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- Uber and red light cameras - just a couple of several hot topics that were stopped short of any changes during legislative session.

On Thursday, the Florida League of Cities held a webinar to address bills that passed or failed affecting city governments.

Two of their topics were bills relating to Uber and red light cameras, both sponsored by Sen. Jeff Brandes, of St. Petersburg. They are issues the League thinks will be back on the table during session next year.

Their goal of the webinars is to keep local officials informed of laws that could affect them.

"We've seen some attempts at red light camera program reform for the past three sessions. I have no doubt that it will come up again in 2015. We're obviously committed to helping those communities who have those programs keep them if that's their choice," said Ryan Matthews with FLC.
