Greer's tell-all: Crist trashed hotel room

St. Petersburg, Florida -- Former state Republican Chairman Jim Greer is telling where the bodies are buried in his book released Monday, including tales of destroyed hotel room by former Governor Charlie Crist and his wife Carole.

Greer who is finishing a prison sentence for stealing money from the party says he did the same thing as all the political leaders in the state.

Two years ago, Greer told 10 Investigates, "They just destroyed my life for no reason," referring to the leadership of the Republican Party of Florida. And now Greer is fighting back with the newly released book.

Greer is charging the state Republican leaders conspired to lie about him stealing money from the party, and that they also lied by denying they signed a document saying he did nothing wrong.

Peter Golenbock the author of the book about Greer titled, The Chairman: The Rise and Betrayel of Jim Greer, says, "I was so shocked that somebody would go to those lengths to destroy somebody's life, I still shake my head."

According to Golenbock, Greer says all the party leaders from Sen. John Thrasher who is being considered for FSU President to U.S. Senator Marco Rubio did the same thing.

He points out, "Marco Rubio fixed up his house with Republican Party of Florida money. He says these people are in it to be politicians and make money."

Greer also lashes out at Charlie Crist saying the former Governor, his wife and friend owed a hotel in Brazil $12,000 for destroying their room where there was evidence of drug use.

In the book as Greer had told 10 Investigates, Crist had knowledge of the payments he received that sent him to jail, but lied about it.

According to Greer, "There is a lot at stake with a U.S. Senate seat or a governor's race and there is no limitation what people will do to get to those offices."

And while the Republican Party will no doubt say that Greer is lying about the fact the leadership of the party signed a document saying he did nothing wrong, and it would pay him a severance package instead of having him go to jail, the documents are included in the book -- with signatures.
