Sickles HS band pays tribute to veterans

The "Salute to Veterans" honored those in attendance, including six WWII veterans.

Veterans were honored at the American Legion in Tampa this weekend. 


Members of the award-winning Sickles High School Marching Wall of Sound and  Sickles AFJROTC students honored Veterans at the American Legion Town & Country Memorial Post 152 on Sheldon Road.


“The Salute to Veterans”  honored attending veterans. Including 6 from WWII.  Band Director Keith Griffis lead the band in playing the songs representing all the branches of the armed service - Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Navy and Air Force. 


Veterans and the students were then treated to a pancake breakfast.
