ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WTSP) – Officials with the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are now investigating the record-breaking sewage spill in St. Petersburg that happened in the days following Hurricane Hermine.
Sworn FWC officers have the same power as police officers and the department’s division of law enforcement is tasked with investigating environmental crimes.
No such classification has been made for St. Petersburg at the moment. 10News WTSP’s partners with the Tampa Bay Times say results of the investigation will be made public.
