Taco Bell opens upscale restaurant

Huntington Beach, California -- Taco Bell has opened its first upscale restaurant with a new name and a menu based on American culinary classics.

The corporation's U.S. Taco Co. is open in Huntington Beach and offers tacos with a variety of flavors: Philly cheesesteak, Texas brisket and one with lobster.

According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, the new angle is aimed at a demographic that does not go to fast-food places. The new line also offers different drinks like shakes, including the "Friggin' Fried Ice Cream" with vanilla ice cream, caramel and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, the "Choco Loco" with chocolate ice cream, Mexican-spiced chocolate sauce and chocolate flakes, and the "Shut Your Pie Hole" with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and pie crust pieces. They cost $4.

The company plans to open more of the restaurants.
