COLUMBUS, Ohio - President Barack Obama officially kicked off his campaign Saturday with back-to-back rallies in two swing states. The president and First Lady spoke at Ohio State and Virginia Commonwealth University, where the campaign's focus was on moving forward.

"Yes, there were setbacks. Yes, there were disappointments. But we didn't quit. We don't quit. Together we're fighting our way back," said the president.

President Obama also branded Mitt Romney a willing rubber-stamp for failed Republican policies. According to political analyst Shawna Vercher the Obama campaign will have to be very aggressive this time around.

"He's got to talk really specifically about how his platforms and his policies that he's already been working on, as president, are completely different than Mitt Romney's. Otherwise, he's going to have problems wooing those independent voters that might just be ready for a change," said Vercher.

Out of respect for the president, Romney did not hit the campaign trail Saturday.

Vercher said social media will really play a huge role in Obama's campaign.

Also, one of the things that will be critical to both his and Romney's campaign are volunteers. Both camps are making it a point to start rounding up people now.
