Neighborhood babysitter Alisa Hartmann found dead in her home, husband Nicholas Hartmann taken into custody

Bradenton, Florida -- Detectives investigating the death of a woman found in her Bradenton home Tuesday have charged her husband with murder.

The Manatee Sheriff's Office says the body of 38-year-old Alisa June Hartmann was found inside her home in the 2000 block of Harvard Avenue, just before noon Tuesday.

Authorities say her body showed signs of trauma. While police were on scene investigating, her husband, Nicholas Hartmann, came home and made statements regarding the woman's death.

Officers took Nicholas into custody and have charged him with Murder. He is currently being held without bond.

A source at the scene tells 10 News that Alisa was the neighborhood babysitter who watched everyone's kids. The couple also have two children of their own, who are now in the custody of child services.

Detectives say so far it doesn't appear there were any other domestic incidents between the couple before today.
