St. Petersburg, Florida --  Former Senator George LeMieux is calling it quits in the U.S. Senate race, leaving contenders like Congressman Connie Mack, the winner of the Pinellas County GOP Straw Poll Marielena Stuart, former Rep. Dave Weldon and retired Army Col. Mike McCalister to battle for the seat.

10 News Anchor Reginald Roundtree spoke with political analyst and USF St. Petersburg Professor Doctor Seth McKee about how this will impact the race and he says LeMieux just couldn't get the steam he needed to continue.
