TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Highway authorities say two drivers died in a Tampa hospital after a head-on collision.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 26-year-old William Boyd and 44-year-old Ana Simon were flown to the hospital Saturday night with critical injuries. They were later pronounced dead.

FHP says Boyd was driving south on U.S. Highway 301 when he veered into Simon's path. Boyd wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car.

An investigation into the crash continues.
