Dover, Florida -- Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies responding to reports of shots fired inside a Dover home made a surprising discovery Tuesday morning.
31-year-old Lee Roy Maxwell allegedly pointed a rifle and fired three rounds at the victim, who did not sustain any injuries. Investigators say Maxwell, who has a domestic violence injunction filed against him by the victim, admitted to firing the gun.
Upon clearing the residence, deputies then discovered guns, water -- enough for a long stay -- and a cubby hole behind a trap door within the residence.
