Duette, Florida -- Back to school is a little quieter at Duette Elementary in Manatee County.

Duette is Florida's last one-room school house. And when you go to a one-room school, a new teacher is a pretty big deal.

Rebekah Lester will be the sole instructor, but says the school is very up to date, including laptops for all of its students.

Duette first opened in 1930, and became a charter school in 2009 after the school district decided it could not afford to operate it.

The school's former teacher, Donna King, will stay on as principal.
