(USA TODAY) -- B.J. Upton experienced a little bit of everything Sunday: Resounding success, the brief uneasiness of losing personal property, then having his faith in Twitter - and, by extension, humanity - restored.

Upton hit a career-best three home runs in the Tampa Bay Rays' win over the Texas Rangers.

Sometime thereafter, he lost his wallet.

Then a dude named Brent Sutton found it.

A Tweet was sent.

A wallet was returned.

A souvenir bat was given in thanks.

And a random fan and a ballplayer making $7 million shared a moment of gratitude via the magic of social media.

Perhaps Upton said it best: Twitter isn't all bad.
