Tampa, Florida -- Police say a 16-year-old high school student was seriously injured when she was hit by a car while walking to school Thursday morning.
The victim, who has been identified as Andra Glover, is a student at Hillsborough High School.
Investigators say Glover was in the crosswalk at MLK and Central Avenue when a car hit her, knocking her into the intersection. A second car in the intersection did not see the victim, and hit her as well.
Glover was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be OK.
A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicles did have the right of way at the time of the accident.
