(WXIA) - Nearly 5,000 pounds of Trader Joe's Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice has been recalled on fears of contamination with listeria bacteria.
The recall was a voluntary one from the product's manufacturer, Canadian-based Aliya Foods Limited.
Some 240 cartons of the foods had been shipped to about 100 Trader Joe's stores across the nation, according to the USDA. Stores in Georgia were not included among those affected.
Earlier this year, Trader Joe's was at the center of a massive peanut butter recall for products they said were linked to salmonella.
