ST. PETERSBURG, Florida -- Deputies have arrested a transient man for attempted homicide and aggravated stalking after they say he broke into a woman's home and began choking her.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, 47-year-old Kevin Manzoli entered the home of his ex-girlfriend, Theresa Sais, by punching out a window in the front door. Once inside, he began choking her and allegedly said he was going to kill her.
Deputies say neighbors saw what was happening and pulled Manzoli off of Sais. They then held him until law enforcement arrived.
Deputies say the couple were previously involved in a domestic relationship. They also say Manzoli made multiple phone calls and sent text messages to Sais saying he was going to kill her.
Manzoli was just released from jail on December 3 after serving time for a misdemeanor domestic battery related charge.
