As a large area of high pressure is anchored to our north, we will continue to see easterly winds at the surface for Wednesday. The easterly flow combined with an upper level low moving west across the Sunshine state will result in numerous showers and storms across the Tampa Bay area during the afternoon and early evening hours. Most of the activity will occur between the hours of 1PM - 8PM. Rain chances will increase on Thursday with storms likely between 2PM - 9PM.
By Friday as high pressure settles southward, our winds will shift directions and be primarily southwesterly. This set-up will lead to higher rain chances for inland areas.
