Sarasota, Florida -- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office says deputies have arrested the man they believe sexually assaulted a 5-year-old girl on Monday.
The Sarasota Police Department helped Manatee deputies locate the man, identified as 36-year-old Dominick Hawkins. Investigators suspected he had fled to Sarasota, after a bus driver said the suspect tried to get on following the attack, yelling he needed a ride to Sarasota.

Sarasota Police officers say they found Hawkins after responding to a report of a suspicious person in the area of the 500 block of Kumquat Court on Wednesday afternoon. He was taken into custody and questioned by Manatee County Sheriff's detectives.
Hawkins is now charged with kidnapping and capital sexual battery.
He was arrested last month after twin 4-year-old boys were found wandering alone in a Bradenton street.
