Shellie Zimmerman made that comment, and even said she was "not going to answer" whether she and her husband George were still together during an interview with ABC on Wednesday, August 28. She had just pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor perjury charge for lying during a bail hearing following George's arrest for the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February 2012.

George, who was acquitted on second-degree murder charges in July, was not in the courtroom as she was sentenced to a year's probation and 100 hours of community service.
In that same interview, Shellie also discussed what it was like living in hiding with George during his trial, and mentioned how much she hoped the circumstances would have have been different.
