Plant City, Florida - Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and Sheriff's deputies are on the scene of a fatal small plane crash southeast of Plant City.
The two occupants of the plane were killed.
The single engine plane went down behind a home at 4006 Tangled Oaks Place.
The area is just north of State Road 60 and west of County Line Road.
The area of the crash is south of Lakeland Linder Regional Airport but it's not yet known if the plane was headed to or leaving from that facility.
Witnesses told rescue crews that they head the plane's engine sputter before it nosedived into the treeline and flipping over in a pasture.
An investigator with the FAA is headed to the crash scene.
