Tampa, Florida - A woman was driving on Bayshore Boulevard in South Tampa around 10 p.m. Thursday when a man flagged her down using a blue laser flashlight.
The man told the woman he pulled her over, because he believed she was intoxicated. The man then handcuffed the woman and put her into the back of his car, near Bayshore and Howard Avenue. He told her she was going to jail.
According to Tampa Police the man then drove the woman to her bank in Hyde Park where he used her debit card to get money from the ATM.
Police say he then drove her back to area of her car. He parked his car on Bayshore Boulevard near Patriot's Park, got into the back seat and sexually battered the woman. He then allowed her to leave the car.
He told the victim he would follow her home, but within a few blocks, he disappeared. The victim called 911.
Tampa Police are searching for the suspect described, as possibly Hispanic, 6'2 - 6'4 and about 190 lbs. He has a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and dark jeans.
