St. Petersburg, Florida - The teen suspected of killing a St. Petersburg Police Officer is the cousin of Tampa Bay Storm player Michael Lindsey, according to Lindsey's Facebook page.

Wednesday, Lindsey posted a status update that read: "Going thru some things right now, my dad is on his death bed right now then on top of that my little cuzin was the suspect for killing a cop....damn.....to much goin on...lord help me stay focused"

According to the Tampa Bay Storm's 2011 team roster, Michael Lindsey is a wide receiver for the arena football team.

Nicholas Lindsey, 16, was arrested Tuesday night.  He's accused of fatally wounding St. Petersburg Police officer David S. Crawford, 46, during a shootout near downtown St. Petersburg.

By Tuesday morning, a support page for Nicholas Lindsey had surfaced on Facebook.  By 5:30 a.m. Thursday, only 15 people liked it
