Dale Mabry Highway reopens after morning crash

Update: Tampa, Fla. - The southbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway at West Kennedy Boulevard have reopened Friday morning.

A crash involving a semi-truck and a car closed the road for several hours Friday morning.

Tampa police have cleared the scene of the crash.

Original Story: TAMPA, Fla. – The southbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway closed at West Kennedy Boulevard on Friday morning after a crash involving a semi-truck and a car.

The semi-truck is leaking a small amount of fuel onto the roadway, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Tampa Fire Rescue and a tow vendor are working to contain the leak. Crews are also looking to clean the fuel spill.

The semi-truck is not a fuel tanker, according to Tampa police.

There are no injuries in the crash.

Tampa police did not say when the southbound lanes of Dale Mabry Highway would reopen. Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.
