TAMPA-- A busy Tampa Bay highway is back open after a deadly motorcycle crash.
According to a press release, a motorcycle was traveling westbound on I-4 when he entered the junction to southbound I-275 and failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway. The motorcycle collided with the outside guardrail and was ejected from the vehicle.
Leonel Pena, 44, of Tampa died at the scene.
Southbound I-275 from W I-4 was closed for nearly two hours while crew worked the accident.
FHP says the man was wearing a helmet.
