WATCH: $23 million worth of cocaine offloaded in St. Pete

An approximate ton of cocaine valued at an estimated $23 million and three suspected smugglers were offloaded in St. Petersburg on Monday.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - An approximate ton of cocaine valued at an estimated $23 million wholesale were offloaded in St. Petersburg on Monday, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

The drugs, packaged in 30 bales, were seized from a go-fast boat on Nov. 11 in the Caribbean Sea just south of Jaragua, Dominican Republic, the Coast Guard said. T

Three suspected smugglers were taken into custody.
