Warwick, RI - Mental health professionals are evaluating a man following his naked romp that started at a Rhode Island Walmart and ended in the middle of a busy road.
Michael Forde from the Warwick Police Department explains the situation, "He swam across the river with an officer behind him, get out on the other side. Climbed over 295 ran across both south and northbound lanes heading towards the Warwick Mall. Then came back across the northbound lanes where officers got in contact with him in the median."
Some of the incident was caught on camera. People inside the store say it was a frightening situation as the man screamed while stripping off his clothes. Walmart employees say the man was foaming at the mouth. The 39-year-old's family tells police the man suffers from bipolar disorder.
