Rio de Janeiro is hosting a UN summit on sustainable development, but the city has a little development problem of its own.
One of the biggest problems for this huge environmental summit has been accommodation. Now luckily a few hotels and motels, like Sinless in Shalimar, have pitched in to help.
The entrance is a little unusual, because each apartment has its own garage slot... most of the clients here don't want their cars seen from the street.
Hotel patrons usually pay by the hour, and you can see why: there are these mirrors on the ceiling, your own private heated room, and just around the corner there's an area for pole dancing.
But these days, a good third of the clients are actually attending the Rio+20 Environmental Summit, because most of the city's regular hotels are either overbooked or overcharging.
Luckily for the people staying here, they're getting a good price... even a day rate, and that's because the owners see a segment that has opportunities for growth.
"With the World Cup and the Olympics, the tendency will be for these people to use these quick turnover hotels even more," says Sinless owner Antonio Cerqueira.
You're not likely to find one of the Rio+20 delegates in thematic rooms like "the Medieval Room," but you could end up staying right next door.
Rooms at the Sinless start at around $151 a day.
