A Japanese man went on a date with his favorite celebrity by combining his love of animated pop star Hastune Miku and his knowledge of technology.
Miku is a virtual reality pop music star in Japan, who has performed at concerts with an on-stage projection (similar to how Tupac made his VR appearance earlier this year at Coachella). The man reportedly built augmented reality goggles based on an ASUS Xtion.
The date starts out with a nice walk in the park, but takes a weird turn when he starts hitting the avatar to show how she reacts to the real world.
