Man wanted for stealing $200 worth of lobster tails

League City, TX - Well police say the guy used one of the store's motorized scooters to get inside to steal frozen lobster and now after a week on the run they say they have identified him and are inching closer to arresting him.

He's the man on a scooter (in the video), who police say, stole nearly $200 worth of lobster tails from this Wal-mart. And now Michael Moore has been identified as the alleged thief in the surveillance video.

Jane Lonsford, and her husband, Joe, frequent this Wal-mart and say when they heard about this happening last Friday - they initially thought it was joke.

"I don't even know what $200 worth of lobster looks like." (laughs)

That was until video captured the crook driving a motorized scooter into the store and then leaving after putting 9 packs of lobster tails - like the ones seen here - in his cart.

"I mean, he really needed that lobster."

Once he scooted by the check out lines and made his way through the parking lot, 48-year-old Moore got out of the scooter, threw the lobsters into the back seat of his car, and gunned the gas. But detectives say an employee was able to jot down his license plate number before he drove away. That quick-thinking helped police zero in on the suspect. And now cops say, they have filed an arrest warrant on Moore and hope to have him in cuffs...soon.

"Now, what did he do with that? You know, think about that. I mean, where did he take that?"

Police say Moore will face theft charges if arrested.
