Texas - The Hi-Ho Café and Store nestled on Highway 6 and 105 in Navasota certainly doesn't have a drive through, but that didn't stop 36-year-old Denise Wilson from plowing into building. Surveillance cameras take us back to the scene. It's ten o'clock and the parking lot is empty. In the security footage you can see Wilson driving up to the store; but the problem is she never stops. In fact, she drives straight through the gas station wall. 28-year-old raj Kumar was standing behind that wall. Take a closer look -- the store is empty -- Kumar gets up from his chair, he stretches, but seconds later -- here comes Wilson's vehicle smashing through.
"After being hit by a moving car and thrown 15-feet across the store, Raj Kumar manages to get up, he walks outside of the store and then collapses."
"She had told them she had mistaken the accelerator for the brake pedal. As they furthered their investigation into this accident, they determined alcohol played a role in this."
Police say Wilson never got out of her car -- in the video you can see bystanders rushing to the scene. Kumar was rushed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
"He's very fortunate, he definitely could have been more seriously injured."
Wilson was arrested for intoxication assault and transported to the grimes county jail. She posted a $100,000 bond and was released.
In the meantime -- this 14-year-old says she hopes her message will be heard loud and clear.
"I don't believe in drinking and driving, it can kill innocent people." The clerk is back at work after suffering head and arm injuries.
