Warning: This video story is very graphic. Hillsborough Sheriffs say they discovered a man was attacked with his own bat outside of a Lutz bar after receiving a copy of a video and seeing it on YouTube.

Here's information we received from the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office:

Strong Armed Robbery

Incident occurred on March 31, 2009 at 1:39 a.m.

L.A. Hangout Bar

16411 North Florida Avenue, Lutz

Why/How:On March 31, 2009 at approximately 1:39 a.m. the victim (Alexander Fernandez) was struck in the face by an unknown subject while inside the L.A. Hangout Bar.

The victim exited the bar to retrieve a bat from his vehicle. A subject was recording the events on a digital video camera. The victim returned to the front parking lot looking for the person who hit him. The person taking the video told an unknown male to hit the victim.

As seen on the video the victim was tackled from behind and landed on the pavement. An unknown individual kicked the victim in the head while he was incapacitated on the ground. Another subject removed the bat from the victim's hand.

The subject recording the events then told other unknown individuals to take the victims money. Two males removed the victim's wallet and he is then struck in the head with the bat. The victim was transported by private vehicle to University Community Hospital where he was treated.

Several days after the incident the person that took the video returned to the same bar and distributed copies of the video. The video was also placed on YouTube.

On May 27, 2009, deputies responded to the residence of William Bogan (the individual that took the video) with a search warrant. The other subjects above were also at the residence at the time the search warrant was served. The other subjects were charged with marijuana charges.

Hillsborough County deputies are asking for assistance in identifying the two subjects that removed the victim's wallet. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477
