Largo, Florida - A Largo woman woke up to a pleasant surprise in her backyard. Sharon Lower opened her curtains Tuesday to discover a ring of mushrooms outside. It's known as a fairy circle.
It's a natural occurrence in some northern forest areas, but very rare in Florida.
Ancient European folklore suggests fairy circles are places where elves gather and dance.
