PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Investigators say a bingo hall manager who fatally shot an armed robber who entered his Pensacola hall will likely not face chargers.
Sheriff's investigators say Alton Prewitt, 20, entered Beachside Bingo on Wednesday, fired a shotgun blast into the ceiling and demanded money.
Sheriff's spokesman Glenn Austin said manager Chad England grabbed a handgun and fired in self-defense. Although criminal charges against England are unlikely, Assistant State Attorney John Molchan said he will review the Sheriff's Office's investigative reports.
