Driver on phone hits police car

Here's a story for people who still text while driving. A woman in Oklahoma plows her vehicle in to a police car because she was on her phone. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries, but it's likely the driver won't make the same mistake again.

This incredible crash involved a Midwest City Police Sergeant as he pulled this car over for a seatbelt violation. He then turned to see a woman on her cell phone headed straight for him.

As the video is slowed down you can see the moment of impact -- as the video drops out the officer is leaping toward the curb.

These video above shows the incredible damage to both the officer's patrol car and the car which caused the accident.

Two people were transported to the hospital -- the officer was not one of them.

Midwest City Police say this is a frightening reminder of why you should never use your cell phone while driving.

The woman behind the wheel was ticketed for inattentive driving. She was taken to the hospital with what police say were minor injuries.
