A man accused of jamming delivered pizza in his mouth without paying got delivered to the St. Lucie County jail, an arrest affidavit states.
Accused Domino’s defrauder James Chandler, 60, was ferried to jail by deputies after investigators on Oct. 23 say he shoved pizza and cinnamon sticks in his pie hole and stiffed the delivery driver.
The driver told investigators she went to a delivery at an address on Regina Drive and met a man later identified as Chandler.
She gave him the pizza, but he didn’t pay. He said he had a store credit, but the driver called Domino’s and the manager indicated that wasn’t the case.
“(The driver) stated that she told Chandler he did not have store credit and at that moment Chandler started shoving pizza and cinnamon sticks into his mouth,” the affidavit states.
The driver said after Chandler shoved the food in his mouth he shoved the pizza box into her chest.
The Domino’s manager showed deputies the crushed up boxes. The deputy saw the pizza was missing a piece and also that cinnamon sticks were missing.
Chandler told deputies he ordered pizza from Domino’s and tried to pay with a check. He said the delivery driver told him Domino’s doesn’t take checks.
Chandler fessed up to stuffing pizza and cinnamon sticks in his mouth without paying.
Chandler, of the 4700 block of Regina Drive in Fort Pierce, was arrested on a defrauding an innkeeper charge.
