Son's passport doodling strands man in South Korea?

(USA TODAY) -- A Chinese man can't leave South Korea after his 4-year-old son drew all over his passport, reports The Telegraph.

The boy apparently drew over his father's passport picture, scribbling eyes, a mouth, a beard and extra hair — making the man unrecognizable.

The entire passport page is covered in images of animals, flowers and other drawings.

The man had posted an image of his defiled passport to the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, asking for help. "It is so depressing ... Solutions? Help???" the man wrote, reports The Telegraph.

But the photo could very well be a hoax, according to, which notes that a four-year-old does not draw that well and there is no smearing of the ink.

"Closer examination of the markings reveals that the 'ink' remains constant in thickness. If you've ever dealt with MS Paint, these lines should be familiar," according to Kotaku.
