Pet of the Week: Sophie
Pet of the Week: Mzark
Clearwater, Florida - Our Pet of the Week is Sophie. Sweet and adorable Sophie is a 2 year old Pit Bull that has been at the Humane Society of Pinellas before. She arrived with her entire litter and her mom in 2008. Since then, she has been a part of an active household that could no longer care for her. She has learned her basic commands, is housetrained and a very social girl. Sophie gets along with other dogs and loves everyone!
Sophie has a great personality that is very interactive and inquisitive. She loves to be around people and a part of the family. She loves to run in the yard and play with her toys. Sophie will be a great addition to a family with older children or even just adults, as long as they have time to spend with our sweet Sophie, she will be happy.

Pet of the Week: Mzark
Mzark (pronounced miz-ark) is a handsome 7 year old domestic short haired male cat. He has a beautiful short dense coat. He also has piercing clear blue eyes and large ears that sit high on his head. He is a very sweet and social kitty that loves to get attention from everybody. He is one of the first cats to approach you when you enter the cage.
Mzark was turned in by his previous owners because one of the children in his former home became allergic to him. That's unfortunate because he got along fine with the young children. He has also lived with dogs and other cats but can be somewhat shy or submissive with them. If you have children or dogs at home please bring them with you to meet our unique Mzark and give him the new forever home that he needs.
