Clearwater, Florida - Our Pet of the Week is Johnson. This big guy is Johnson, a 4 year old Shepherd Mix with an adorable under bite. He is a big, tall fellow that is calm, relaxed and passive. He is currently staying in our Adoption Center where he has shown us that he loves all humans, gets along great with other dogs, doesn't mind the company of cats and is a bit afraid of the ferret; he has no idea he is a big boy!
This is Johnson's second time at HSP. Sadly he was hit by a car in July and surrendered back to us. This poor guy did suffer from some injuries and has been under the care of Dr. Callum Hay, an orthopedic surgeon at Veterinary Sugical Services, Inc.. He has been cleared to start his search for a new home and family. Johnson loves his big, fluffy bed and will gladly share if you want to curl up next to him and give him belly rubs.

Ebony is a gorgeous 1 year old domestic short haired cat. Her fur is wonderfully smooth and silky. She is all black. She has pretty eyes that seem to change from gold to green depending on the light. There is no doubt that she is a lover. She will warm up quickly and will be rubbing all over you before you know it. If you pet another cat she will be at your side asking for her share. She is extremely outgoing and friendly and has no problem letting you know that.
Ebony came to the shelter because someone found her in their backyard. It is hard to imagine this very affectionate cat out on her own. She gets along very well with the other cats that she shares her condo with. It is unknown whether or not she gets along with children or dogs so if you have either please bring them with you to meet our sweet Ebony.
