Pet of the Week: Bolt
Pet of the Week: Carl
Clearwater, Florida - Our Pet of the Week is Bolt. This big lovable Pit Bull Terrier mix is Bolt. He is about 4 years old and has mastered the 'puppy dog look'. Once he knows you, he is a goofy boy that will roll on you, sit on you, bring toys to you and absolutely loves the simple things in life like a tennis ball. He is house trained and knows some of his basic commands. He is eager to please, so further training should be a breeze and will create an amazing bond between him and his new best friend.
Bolt expresses extreme interest in other dogs and has started to make some dog friends while he is waiting to be adopted. He is a very sweet boy that has an unknown background. He was running the streets when he found himself inside of a home; but it wasn't his home. You can imagine the surprise so the Clearwater Police Department was called. Thankfully they were able to contain him and bring him to HSP.

Pet of the Week: Carl
Carl is a handsome 1 year old medium sized domestic short haired cat. His fur is unique with tiger markings, black markings, and white markings. He has a slim body with gold eyes and a long tail. Right now he is a leggy youngster but he will undoubtedly fill out as he matures. He is quite active and will want to investigate everything in his new home. He is also the friendly, outgoing type so it won't take him much time at all before he becomes comfortable in a new home.
Carl was turned into the shelter because his previous owners had too many other pets. He gets along very well with the other kitties that he shares his condo with here at the shelter. It is unknown whether or not he gets along with dogs or children so if you have either, please bring them with you to meet Carl and give him his new forever home.
