Pet of the Week: Abby
Pet of the Week: Lucy
Clearwater, Florida - Our Pet of the Week is Abby. This gorgeous gal is Abby; she is a 5 year old Pit Bull Terrier with a stunning coat and color referred to a 'blue'. We received Abby through our shelter transfer program where we were able to rescue her from a shelter unable to provide the same 'No Time Limit Policy of Adoptable Pets'.
During Abby's time with us, we have found her to be very sweet and affectionate. She is stronger then she realizes when she plays, so we would encourage older children in her new family. She had an adoring personality and will melt your heart with the mastered 'puppy look' and will cry if you walk by and don't say hi; she just loves people! If you have a safe, secure home and are ready for the best dog friend ever; come meet Abby and see if she is the right fit for you!

Pet of the Week: Lucy
Lucy is a unique looking medium sized 11 year old domestic short haired cat. Her plushy coat is in an orange tiger pattern. She has black marks on her nose and lips that look like she's been into the chocolate pudding. Lucy is an affectionate cat who is an active participant in whatever petting you have to offer. She will push on your hand and roll over so you can rub her tummy. Once she gets started, she's really into it.
Lucy was turned in by her previous owners because they could no longer afford to keep her. She is on a special Z/D diet due to allergies. We do not know if she gets along with other cats or dogs so if you have either please bring them with you to meet her. We also recommend that she goes home to a house with older children in it.
Humane Society of Pinellas Adoption Center is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 11am-5:30pm, Friday 11am-7pm, and Saturday/Sunday 10am-4pm, located at 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater, 727-797-7722.
