Florida Senator Marco Rubio is a rising star in the Republican Party. Former Governor Jeb Bush is one of many top GOP leaders who have been lobbying for Rubio to become Mitt Romney's running mate.

Conservatives consider the freshman senator and former speaker of the Florida House to be the ideal Repubican running mate. The Tea Party favorite increased speculation a few months ago when he accidentally referred to himself as vice president during a National Journal interview.

Senator Rubio is no longer saying he doesn't want to be vice president.
